Grunge Rainbow action effect
Posted on: Feb 24th 2008 | Posted by: Graffi
This
onecreates a blue-green-yellow rainbow gradient across a clouds/fibers grunge background, generating an image that is suitable as a background for a web header, as a scrap page background or as an image enhancement.
All by itself, it doesn’t really add much, but with a bit of imagination and inventiveness, it can be used in a huge variety of ways - especially for web use or photo page embellishments.
I’ve started what will eventually be the next main graficalicus.com splash menu just by cropping it to 750 x 300 pixels and added a bit of text. Experiment!

A new, old Fun Foto Effect - Record Album
Posted on: Feb 18th 2008 | Posted by: Graffi
Heh!I saw another record album tutorial the other day - two of them, in fact. I remember seeing a tutorial for this way back on some website or another a few years ago. It’s definitely a Photoshop Classic (it’s in Kelby’s book by that name, too!)

I figured I wouldn’t be doing my part in keeping the classics alive without an action for it, with customizable background, label & text. As always, Elements-friendly and ready to be fed to your Add-O-Matic.
And here’s to the classics! 40,000+ ways to make this in Photoshop!

Posted on: Feb 17th 2008 | Posted by: Graffi
Here’s a fast video that will show how to get the effect names to show up in the Added Effects section of your Effects palette when using the Add-O-Matic.
This is for users of Add-O-Matic for Elements 6, mainly, but it works for every effects section, too.

Posted on: Feb 10th 2008 | Posted by: Graffi
Yeahso it took three months, but I finally got a new splash up at the front of the graficalicus main page.
I kinda like it, too - sort of like the inside of a heart!

This one started out in Elements 6 for the basic image, then got pulled into RealDraw for the HTML and rollover effects. A few tweaks to the javascript, and there it is.

Another video rerun - making "Scatter Brushes" in Photoshop Elements
Posted on: Feb 8th 2008 | Posted by: Graffi
I’mstill adding some reruns (i.e., videos I’ve made and haven’t done much with in a long time!).
This one actually turned up in a forum somewhere, and I got a few questions about the technique. I’m posting it here again - and over on YouTube, as well - just to bring it back out into the light.
