The first Christmas card of the season!

Ifinally got a bit inspired with the holidays coming up, and after walking through our local Christmas shop, I saw several interesting greeting card designs (by the way, that’s a great place for inspiration, if you’re into making your own cards - more and more folks are doing it each year…)
Here’s the first of what will be a series of cards this year.
This is called “Christmas Green“, and is set up to a 3:2 ratio. There’s not any special sentiment inside - it’s a real greeting card, so you can add whatever you want to the inside.
The Christmas.psd file is in the zip download link, below.
A few notes:
- The two fonts I used are “Telegram.ttf” for the front greeting and “Tall Films.ttf” for the blurb on the back. They’re available on the web - try a quick Google if you want to use the same fonts I used.
To resize to higher resolution, open the document in Photoshop or Elements and choose Image>Resize>Image Size. Tick on “Resample“, and choose “Bicubic Sharper“. Now you can enter inch dimensions as well as increase the print resolution (usually 200 or so is just fine for most printers at home).
Accept the changes, and you’re ready for print.- I recommend printing on a matte card stock. This design doesn’t really lend itself to a glossy finish. Also, be sure that you can find an envelope for the selected size you choose!
Cheers, and enjoy!
