PET Site update - if you wondered….

The latest poop on the NAPP PS Elements site closing down:
Why is the Newsletter being discontinued?
As I mentioned …., it’s a business decision. There’s really no sinister reasoning or insider info behind it. The owners have a business to run and they’ve chosen for this not to be a part of it.
When is the last issue of the printed Newsletter?
It’s not totally final yet but we already have a couple issues “in the can” so to speak. This puts us well into the first quarter of 2008. There may be another issue after that but we’re still working on the details here.
When will the website be shut down?
The website (public, private, forums) will likely close on or around the time of the final issue. We’ll make sure that you know exactly when that is as it gets closer.
That’s straight from their site.
There are alternatives, though. Flickr is nice, as are Yahoo groups, if you want an email list-based group. the last I heard, though, Yahoo groups were also being shut down in favor of their new all-in-one package.
I have mentioned before that I’m possibly shutting down the Graffi forums, but recently I started looking at a few other possible replacements. Stay tuned here, and I’ll post updates on that front over the next few days with requests for testers.
This can be available to all the folks who want another place to hang out once the PET forum officially closes early next year.

Where did you find the info concerning the shut down of the Forums? I did a search and could not locate it.
Talk about a blast from the past - and PET ended up staying around after all of that hoopla. Although I rarely visit there anymore - mostly just hang out at Photoshop Creative Elements which will be celebrating their one year anniversary in a few days.
