I just installed PSE 6. I have used PSE 3 for several years and have installed many plugins and actions. Looking at PSE 6, I cannot see how to install them.
I am interested in trying Actions Lite for PSE 6.

Hi, Kevin - I made it simple for you - just download, unzip, and run (double-click) the .exe. It’ll do everything for you.

Restart Elements 6, and allow the Effects panel to rebuild. You should see a drop menu for “Handy Actions Lite” with 8 new thumbnails. They’ll also show up if you click the “Show All” option from the drop menu in the Effects palette.

Just purchased 6.0. Have been user of all versions to-date and use Add-O-Matic and have most all of your actions etc. Would love to try new Handy Actions Lite. Will install instructions be included?
Thanks and keep up the good work!

I would like to try the action light on the new Elements 6. I have enjoyed using your past products very much. Please send me instruction where and how I can please download it. also will I need all new actions to buy from you if I have upgraded to Elements 6?

Question. I bought and dowloaded the lite package for PSE6 last night. I want to use a layer mask but it always comes up white. I want a black mask. Can that be done?

    Thanks!

Sure - it’s built-in action in Handy Actions 3 (Layer Mask Show All) but in Lite, you can just click on the mask after it’s created and fill it with black (press to reset the default foreground/background colors, then +)

    A couple of questions, please.

Can I upgrade to Handy Action 3 from Lite? And what is the cost?

Graffi, I must be really dense or really tired because I am not getting what you are trying to tell me. What I have done is as follows:
    1) I opened the photo I wish to work on.
    2) Converted to 8 bits
    3) Selected the background layer
    4) Pressed Ctrl-j to create Layer 1
    5)Pressed Ctrl-j to create Layer 1 copy
    6) Selected Layer 1
    7) Doubled clicked the Layer Mask icon in the Effects Palette
Now I have a white square icon next to my picture icon on the Layer 1 icon in the Layers
bin. There is a small symbol telling me they are linked.
    8) Selected black to be the foreground color
    9) And I have clicked the mask icon, pressed the + key and nothing. In fact I have tried
just about everything I can think of with no luck.

Could you spell it out in detail for a real neophyte?

    Thanks,
    Doug

I was tired when I wrote that, too - 8) the brackets I typed were stripped because the blog thought it was code….

what it really said was press [Alt] + [backspace]

Here’s another way - select the layer mask icon in the layers palette and invert it - [Ctrl] + [I]
